Hip Hop Caucus Clean Energy Now! Bus Tour (Repower America Event)
The Hip Hop Caucus is coming to IU!
Repower America, the Hip Hop Caucus and a diverse coalition of campus organizations including Coal Free IU, INPIRG, and the Black Student Union, are bringing the Clean Energy Now! Bus Tour to Indiana University on Monday, February 22nd. The tour will unite young people, communities of color, and the faith community in a call for bold action to revive our economy, regain our communities and restore our planet. Please join us for a panel discussion this Monday, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the Fine Arts Building, room 015. The panel will explore what a clean energy economy would mean to these communities, to Indiana, and to America as a whole. It will also explore why these communities should engage in the fight to call for a clean energy revolution, and how to best involve IU students.
Featured participants:
* Reverend Lennox Yearwood Jr., President and CEO of Hip Hop Caucus
* DJ Biz Markie
*Eric Love, Director of Diversity Education at IU.
* Renee Davis, student leader
Please stop by for a special pre-program performance by DJ Biz Markie at 3:30 pm!
